Learn How to Desensitize Your Horse to Moving Objects

0305_01

Is your horse frightened of traffic? Does he lose his marbles when a 4-wheeler or ATV zips by him? From time to time, your horse is going to spook at objects, especially if they appear suddenly and are moving fast. These spooky encounters don’t have to be ride ruiners if you learn how to safely turn them into training opportunities.

In the March No Worries Club digital download, Clinton works with Method Ambassador Rick Badousek who is riding a horse that has just a few weeks of training. Rick’s goal is to desensitize the gelding to a 4-wheeler dragging a roping dummy. Throughout the session, Clinton shares a three-step process to safely turn your horse’s anxiety into confidence.
